I have heard about this awesome window manager but would like to know more about it and which group of people is most likely to benefit from it

Awesome is a window manager for X. It is a very good framework window manager because it has got high speed, it is small and dynamic, it is an extensive highly configurable window manager. It uses the lua programming language. Well at the end of the day awesome would be considered a good framework window manager for every computer user but specifically we can say it is targeted at developers, power users and those that are directly involved in daily computing work and would wish to have effective control of their graphical environment.
