‘Outlook express’ is not the same as outlook. Outlook express is an email client as well as news client. It is also helpful in contact management. Outlook Express usually uses the Windows Address Book to store and update contact info.
Outlook express and Microsoft Outlook are two different applications. They do not have common codes, even thought both share the same features, in some ways. Outlook Express was earlier included with the Internet Explorer for versions 4.0 to 6.0. It was also included in many versions of Microsoft Windows. However, Windows Mail has replaced it in the latest version, Internet Explorer 7.
Outlook express has been available in several versions, and each time with advanced features. For more info, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/oe/default.mspx
