AnswerSure, “Link” is a text based browser which supports HTML tables and frames. It has a pull down menu system and supports FTP, HTTP, Local file protocols and FTP proxies. “Link” was developed by Mikulas Patocka of Czech Republic. “Link” is an alternative to the Graphical User Interface and supports multiple colors, monochrome terminals.
“Link” is a text only browser. Since there is no graphic involved, the pages are loaded at lightning fast speeds. This is one of the biggest advantages of “Link” over other web browsers. It allows multiple downloads with simultaneous connections. The version 2 of Link is a fast graphical browser and runs on both X11 and Linux console.
The second version also supports javascript. The “Link” can be downloaded from http://links.sourceforge.net/#what
