The new trends for 2009 for Christmas trees are definitly DEL lights. They are environment friendly and last longer than traditional Christmas lights. If you want to create a beautiful harmony, choose only one color for the lights. The color of your lights being of course, complimentary to those of the decorations.

Another trend this year is metallic decorations. This year decorations are also bigger than the previous years. Traditional colors like silver, gold and red are still of good taste in the Christmas tree. Also, plain decorations or decorated with smal designs will make your tree beautiful. You can embellish it with raffia knots and natural decorations like pine cones.

Also make sure that your Christmas tree fits in your home decoration. If you have a modern home design choose modern decorations for your tree. Also, if your house style is traditional I suggest that your Chrsitmas tree to be traditional also.
