I wonder what the weight watchers diet are and why we should go in group meetings? Do we have to attend them? How does it works?

For weight watchers, ''nothing forbidden but everything consumed in reasonable quantities "is the principle of this method that promotes a varied and balanced diet combined with regular physical activity. The pure pleasure of food is an integral part of this method.
Food programs, developed with the help of nutritionists, are based on 6 main principles:
1) Vary the diet and eat everything in reasonable quantities.
2) Drink 1.5 to 2 liters per day, with at least 1 liter of water.
3) Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
4) Eat at least 2 dairy products a day.
5) Reduce the lipids (fats).
6) Perform regular physical activity.
The proposed low-calorie diets are weight loss gradual to avoid the famous "yo-yo."
The weekly meetings allow participants to motivate each other and permanently change their eating habits over the long term.
