I am planning to be on a diet in order to lose weight; need advice on the minimum calories i need per day. I am in my early 20’s and i am over weight. Please guide me in the process.

AnswerAssuming that you are a boy, it’s not just the diet you need to be worried about; you need to think of a way to burn the unwanted fat that you have gained. In order to lose weight you will have to burn more calories than you consume each day. So only you know how many calories you can burn in a day and based on that you have to decide on the number of the calories you need. A normal person needs about 1700 to 2200 calories each day and when it comes to someone who wants to lose weight might want to reduce the number by 500. People think that being on a very low calorie diet for a long time does the trick but that will only make you sick. Do not go below 1200 calories for any reason; it is not good for your health.
