Sleep right after eating

Doctors say it is not good to sleep right after eating, i have a problem in that whenever i have had a heavy meal the next thing i want to do is sleep and it comes so heavy that i end up in bed, how can i avoid this?

AnswerSure it is not good to sleep right away because the food will then not be utilized as it ought to. It is true that many times after meals one is likely to feel sleepy but you can avoid that by scheduling your meal time well. If it is dinner make sure you have some other light activity to do afterward and be committed to it so that you don’t sleep. Also make sure you take your meal early enough before you are so exhausted to stay up even a minute. It is also advisable that you take light diner because many times when we eat too heavily it will be hard to avoid the sleep.
