AnswerWeight Watchers focuses on motivation and peers support during weekly meetings. Everything made with the contribution of dietitians, researchers and physicians. You'll have a gradual loss of weight which is about one kilogram per week.
Two different approaches to weight loss are offered by Weight Watchers. Alibase option, which is to eat at will, but only food allowed or the Flex which has specific number of points per day.
The meetings last about 45 minutes. They weigh the participants and talk about aspects of nutrition related to weight loss. Their U.S. website also offers an interactive component.
Flex Option allows you to eat any food. Each person is allocated a number of points representing that it can consume each day. The number of points allowed is calculated according to the starting weight of the individual and his physical activity.
All foods are "rated" based on their calorie, fat and fiber. The only control that the participant must perform is the calculation of points allocated. It should not exceed the total number of points that are awarded.
A person who is entitled to 22 points per day and decides to eat 20 chips just blow 10 points from his account. It left him only 12 for all day. A lentil soup represents only two points, it remains 20 per day.
Each physical activity that elevates the heart rate practiced for at least 20 minutes is entitled to additional points.
