I would like to know what is the standard quantity of calories we should consume every day? I am afraid i eat too much. Please help me.

You wonder how many calories you should eat every day. It depends mostly on your activity. It is admitted that a woman between 31 and 50 years old who has a normal physical activity – by that we mean that she walks a little, she spends energy in her everyday life in a usual way - has to consume approximately 1 800 calories a day. For a man in the same conditions, we talk about 2200 calories. Before 30 years old, an adult can add 200 calories to this total, and after 50, remove 200 from it. But keep in mind these calculations are very general.
You can start by calculating if you are overweight, it will give you an indication onto the changes to bring or not to your daily diet. To calculate your body weight index, divide your weight (in kilos) by your size (in meters squared). If you are between 20 and 25, your weight is normal, and thus your food consumption must not be decreased.
