Access control of flickr

How effective is the access control of flickr? Does it guarantee that the image cannot be accessed by an unauthorized person?

AnswerThe user security system of the flickr is quite effective. It enables the user to set privacy controls that will specify who can view the image. Any particular image can be treated as public or private image.
A public image is the one that the user as well as the other people can view; whereas, a private image is the one that can be viewed by a particular group as specified by the user. The important thing to remember is that if this group is private then only the members of that group will be able to view the images. If it is public then the image can be viewed by any group.
Further, Flickr have also introduced the system of the ‘guest pass’ which allows the users to share the public images with any non Flickr members as well.
