Is the canadian idol show still on air? What is the real intention in this show and what determines the choice of the winners?

Yes the Canadian idol show is still airing and it has its roots in the popular fox show American idol. This also has its roots in the British show pop idol. Canadian idol targets at finding the most talented young singer in Canada. It normally begins with a cross Canada tour in which singers audition in front of four judges, and from these 10 finalists are chosen and each of these ten is supposed to perform live for another screening. The decisions are not made by the judges alone but even the viewers are given chance to vote for the one they think deserves to win.
