The company was earlier called a Babbage. It merged and acquired several games and software retailers to gradually transition to Gamestop. Today, it has around 6200 retail stores in the other countries. Gamestop also sells magazines, DVDs, and movies. It also earns its revenue from the selling of the used video games at a higher price, which it usually buys at a lower price.
