How to put ink in a Lexmark printer cartridge?

Can you tell me how to fill a Lexmark cartridge? It is the first time that i filled the cartridge of my Lexmark printer and it does not work. Is there a problem with the ink? My printer seems to be blocked. Could you help me?

AnswerI too, own a Lexmark printer and had the same problem the first time I 've tried to replace the cartridge.
First, go to start and right click on your mouse to get to printer preferences. Then choose settings and load factory settings. Your printer will recognize your cartridge and your will be able to use it. Try to print a test page to make sure it really works.
The Lexmark printers will not accept generic or refilled cartridges since they have a special mechanism that recognizes if the cartridge you are trying to put has been previously used.
The last thing to do is to check if you have removed the little cap on your cartridge. That may be just it!
